After reading a couple of threads I couldn't find a fix to the issue I was having with 'flickering' in menus and in videos.
Vsync was enabled etc.
The fix I found was:
- (as already suggested) Download & install rivatuner (http://downloads.guru3d.com/RivaTuner-v2...d-163.html)
- Once installed, go to the riva tuner directory\tools\d3doverrider:
e.g.
Win64
C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner v2.24 MSI Master Overclocking Arena 2009 edition\Tools\D3DOverrider\
Win32
C:\Program Files\RivaTuner v2.24 MSI Master Overclocking Arena 2009 edition\Tools\D3DOverrider\
- Run the program 'D3DOverrider.exe'
- If the program menu hasn't appeared - Click on the new green icon in your task bar to bring it up.
- Click the big + to add a program, and tell it your XBMC executable
e.g:
C:\Program Files\XBMC\xbmc.exe
- Ensure both triple buffering and vsync are enabled.
This fix worked for me, its what I have to do to get some PC games to 'force' vsync. I'm guessing this is because xbmc uses directx?
