Hi, Ive recently been running into this error message when running XBMC on my Apple TV - xbmc/boxee exited with status: 5. I've seen other people report similar errors but with different numbers. I've not been able to find any info on the #5 error. It happens when I try to play DVDs that I've ripped using RipIt on my mac. They have played successfully numerous times but are now crashing XBMC when I try to play them.

Anyone with information and support would be appreciated.
I usually get the number 10 or 11 error. Have only had XBMC on my atv for 3 days now so dont know if this is normal or not.
I have no problem playing them on Boxee or Nito TV. As i mentioned, I have actually played them on XBMC before with no problems, but tried to finish watching a movie last night and when I did, I get the exited with status: 5.
Same here.. Plays well in NitoTV, Boxee and Sapphire.. Dont think its a movie problem. There is something within XBMC. I have other issues than this but thats in my other thread.

Do you have XBMC power saving features enabled? I seem to get this error if Power Saving (auto-exit) is enabled.
OSX Version 10.5.8
Platform - AppleTV
Launcher 3.2.2
Install Method - Launcher
SVN Revision - XBMC PRE-10.5 r26936 (Compiled: Jan 17 2010)
Detailed Instructions to Reproduce the Problem - In the VIDEOS menu, when I select a movie from the file list and select the IFO file to start playing the movie (these are movies that I have used RipIt to copy onto a Western Digital HD that is connected to my Apple TV) it crashes and shows this error message: xbmc/boxee exited with status: 5.

Thanks in advance for any help, and if I have forgotten anything, let me know and I will get that information posted as well.

Thanks,
jamie

Mind posting crashreporter.log, too?
Will do! It will be later tonight before I will be back home, but I will get it posted as soon as I can.

should be fixed with r27031.
Mind reporting back once a build >27031 appears?
