I've just installed XBMC Live to the hard drive of my Aspire Revo R3610. At first, USB flash drives was automatically detected when I put them into the USB port (as they should be). But after installing some applications like Firefox, VLC player and mplayer; XBMC doesn't detect USB flash drives anymore. USB remote dongle and mouse dongle are still working though.

Can I fix this? Any ideas?

Also, I noticed that XBMC Live is not shutting down completely but ends up in terminal (login prompt). The USB-ports seem completly dead.. Any ideas anyone??..

I suspect that it happened when I installed Synaptic, anyone got an explanation for that?!?
