I had sort of touched on this in another thread, but it was probably a bit off the original subject there and possibly deserves its own thread (I hope).
I'm wondering if there is any way that an XBMC Live box can somehow receive a YouTube URL sent from another computer the local network and then either queue it up for playback from a separate list (not intermixed with other videos) or failing that, just start playing it immediately. My reason for asking is that I had tried using the Greasemonkey "YouTube XBMC" script (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/62064) on my desktop computer, but every time it tried to send a YouTube link to my XBMC Live box (an Acer Aspire Revo running XBMC Live) it totally crashed XBMC (threw me right out of the program, to a login prompt)!
The main reason I'm looking for something like this is because if you are using an IR remote rather than a keyboard, it's seriously inconvenient to try and enter a YouTube ID in the YouTube plugin (especially when there's ambiguous characters in the ID, such as uppercase I/lowercase l) and I just can't imagine that every time someone wants to watch a specific YouTube video in XBMC, they enter it using the remote! So how do you guys send a YouTube video link from another machine on your network to XBMC Live (or just to XBMC in general?).
