I'm a bit new to this program, but so far I really like it. Nice visuals, simple to navigate, etc. I'm using it for PC only stuff. I do have a few questions.

How much of a difference do skins make? I'm downloading Transparency right now.
How do I create a playlist of music?
Is there a way to just start playing all of my music?
Is it possible to shuffle music?

If you would like to add any tips to make this thing seem more simple, be my guest. Thanks Smile
I can answer the first question...

Skins generally are only cosmetic alterations. You will not see any new core functionality between skins and they will not interfere with media playback or plugins. Bugs in skins can however crash XBMC. XBMC's skinning capability is very flexible, meaning skins can change the complete look and feel of XBMC.

Some skins will introduce new cosmetic functionality, such as alternate views of menus and content. For example, some skins can show your movies in a "Coverflow"-style view, and some skins will have rearranged menus.
