I just created a ticket for this bug and thought I should cross-post it here. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm using the latest SVN nightly r27311. I've noticed that selecting Reboot in the Shutdown Menu now works the same as selecting Shutdown or Exit: you are taken directly to the AppleTV Frontrow main menu. Previously, in earlier nightlies and in 9.11 Final, selecting Reboot correctly caused AppleTV to power cycle.

The only way to power cycle the AppleTV after updating to the latest nightly is to ssh in and sudo reboot or pull the plug. Rebooting is necessary to get XBMC to recognize CrystalHD after updating.
Hey KevinSartori,

might wanna try a Launcher beta that should fix this:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=488783&postcount=3

When I get an OK that this works properly, I'd push that new Launcher version.

Thanks,
mdd
Y'know, I saw Launcher 3.2.3pre-r740 listed in the Launcher --> Downloads, but as I wasn't sure what changed, I was afraid to update!

Unfortunately, after installation, XBMC loads up fine, but selecting Reboot in the Shutdown Menu still brings you directly to the AppleTV Frontrow main menu, just like selecting Shutdown does. Still no power cycle.
Mind posting console.log? (if it doesn't update properly kill finder via ps aux |*grep Finder .... kill <PID> and it should start working again)
I'm sorry, there's no console.log in /mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow/Library/Logs. If you give me a "For Dummies" explanation on what to do using Putty, I'll be happy to post it! Numbered steps are awesome...

In case it helps, here is the xbmc.log, with me starting XBMC, bringing up the Shutdown Menu and selecting Reboot:

http://pastebin.com/m19f62668
console.log can be found here: /Library/Logs/Console/501/console.log
I'm sorry, I made a mistake, I meant to say that there is no Console folder in /mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow/Library/Logs. The only contents of that folder (according to WinSCP) is a CrashReporter folder (which contains CrashReporter.log) and two files: xbmc.log and xbmc.old.log. It appears that Launcher did update okay, as the version in the Launcher --> About section is "Launcher 3.2.3pre-r740".
try
Quote:/Library/Logs/Console/501/
instead of
Code:
/mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow/Library/Logs
mind retrying with a version >= r27320? Just seen there was a bug fix
I just installed the latest nightly (r27349) and Reboot still acts like Shutdown.

I finally found console.log here:

/mnt/Scratch/Library/Logs/Console/501

I got confused because WinSCP automatically starts in /mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow and there is a Library folder with a Log folder inside of it there!

I rebooted AppleTV (with PuTTY), started XBMC through Launcher and then chose Reboot in the Shutdown Menu. Here is the console.log:

Hi KevinSartori,

thanks for the log.

You're saying that Reboot shuts down the ATV or it does (like Shutdown) nothing?
In XBMC, Shutdown, Reboot and Exit all seem to do the same thing: bring you directly to the AppleTV Frontrow menu. With earlier builds (including 9.11) selecting Reboot used to actually power cycle the AppleTV (like pulling the plug) before bringing you to the AppleTV Frontrow menu.

I have the Broadcom CrystalHD card and when I update to the latest SVN nightly, you have to power cycle (Reboot) the AppleTV to get XBMC to recognize the Broadcom CrystalHD card. With Reboot not working properly in XBMC's Shutdown Menu, I have to either ssh in and sudo reboot or pull the plug to get the AppleTV to power cycle (Reboot).

I am facing the same problem concerning the reboot entry, I reboot through the Software Menu/Scripts Reboot entry instead.

Launcher version and console.log please
Launcher 3.2.2

My /Library/Logs/Console/501/console.log is from 22.01.2010, so is it of any use in this case...:confused2:

Here's the content anyway:
