You MUST compile from source code for bcm70015 support.
And from the download page "crystalhd kext, library and firmware based on r26" for crystalhd-for-osx-1.0.3.zip.
You're not paying attention to what is written
I'm trying to pay attention -- honest!
I could swear that I read that a driver was compiled and released by Andy(?) which would save us from having to compile our own bcm70015 source code.
Maybe it was wishful thinking. :confused2:

ah, follow the guide at http://code.google.com/p/crystalhd-for-osx/
and before you ask, you will need to check out the source code (I don't know what you mean by "downloaded the drivers"). There's only one driver, one library and two sets of firmware, one for bcm70012, one for bcm70015.

Andy is on vacation right now He takes care of the updating driver/lib/firmware in Launcher downloads. I've asked him to hold off doing this until I got more feedback.
Andy did release a previous manual install version but it's not current anymore.

So I'm not just making things up -- good to know.
Does "not current" mean "won't work for me?"
My bcm70015 card arrives Thurs and I'm hoping that it won't just sit there dreaming of decoding 1080p for weeks.

Current means it's not based off r145 (http://code.google.com/p/crystalhd-for-osx/source/list), that is current.

@scott B - if still interested in building your own code..I was in your position not too long ago and all the info you need is here in this forum, up on the crystalhd-for-osx google code site and through your friendly search engine. It took me awhile to figure out where things were, how to install them and use them, but I just gritted my teeth and kept digging until I figured it out. I just felt it was better to do it this way as I'd much rather have davilla working on code for my AppleTV.
Here's some links to get you started:
CrystalHD - http://code.google.com/p/crystalhd-for-osx/
MacPorts - http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-port-depends/
Xcode - http://developer.apple.com/tools/download
And if building XBMC from svn, it also helps to look at the README.osx from the trac, an example: http://trac.xbmc.org/browser/trunk/README.osx?rev=32869.

In my fumbling around I just tried to use the installer in the OP. I figured it might fix whatever is wrong and that I could just update the driver/firmware/lib afterward.
R26 downloads and then says "An Error Occurred."

Turbo's web site is down, Launcher does a chained download that includes turbo_atv_enabler.bin and that's failing.

I am a noob but is the installer going to error out until turbo's site is back up? Is there a workaround?

Yes. Until a) his site comes back up or b) the script is changed, it will error out. The workaround is to install manually. Several users have already written guides to install manually.

i am back from the holidays and currently sorting some pictures i hopei can push out an updated version of the installed until this evening or tomorrow morning.
