Full Version: scrapers not working

Hi

I'm slowly fixing all my issues on my newly built Revo with XBMC Live install.

But failing to understand how the scrapers work ?

I have copied over a film called Toy story onto the HDD and can't get any movie information about it ?

Could someone please explain how this all works?

I have a internet connection and the RSS feed down the button is working fine.

Hi please go easy with me, i'm new 8)

The file is copied on my HDD in /home/xbmc/toy story.mkv

My scraper settings

default movie IMDb.com ( i did try themoviedb.org )
default tvshow TheTVDB.com
default music video MTV
enable fallback based on scraper language ( unticked )

Below is my debug log file. After a clean reboot I select the movie from videos/movies and from the drop down menu selected movie information and then toy story, but nothing

I not really sure how this works so could do with a few pointers as well please, should this be a automatic process ?

I am also having problems with the scraper.

The Boxee scraper is extremely fast and quite accurate but the XBMC scraper is painfully slow and doesn't seem to retrieve much art.

Is there an external scraper like movingpictures on media portal has?
