Is there a way to do this or at least to set v2 tags as first choice and then v1 as alternative?

XBMC Only read v1 with less info.

XBMC reads v2 tags just fine - regardless of whether or not there's a v1 tag present.

If it isn't reading your tags, it's likely that they're broken.
