I am thinking to built also an ION based HTPC with XBMC. At this moment I have a ATV and it seems that it will not play the HD movies I have, even not with that Crystal chip. At this moment it cost me only money and I did not have for once the plesure the use it. Other people are saying they have no problems playing, but they are using AVCHD 1080P versions I think.
I was thinking using for the motherboard: ASUS AT3IONT-I Deluxe (180 euro)
Case: Mini Box M350 (50 euro)
Memory: Kingston – KVR1066D3N7(2G) (50 euro)
Software will be the same as on that link the XBMC Live version, because it will only be for the television.
