Hi all

I was reading this:

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?op...&Itemid=47

but am not sure what it will mean for this wonderful project. Will there be major problems in the future for Linux-users?

Roberto
I wouldn't have thought it would cause too many problems at all, as I imagine that the vast majority of Linux XBMC users use the closed-source drivers anyway, even if only to get more than 800x600 on their 50" TV's. If you're watching HD, then you'll almost certainly be using VDPAU which requires the proprietary drivers.

Unless, of course, I'm completely missing the point.

no there will be no problems for using xbmc/games etc. for linux users, because nvidia will stop only the development of there opensource xf86-video-nv 2D driver that is included in all major linux distributions. eventually it makes harder to develop the 3D opensource xf86-video-nouveau driver for the opensource devs.
