Hi,

I have this annoying problem. When I'm not watching movies, or doing anything with XBMC i.e. XBMC is running with no activities, my fan speed increases allot. This is really annoying and I can't figure out what the problem behind this is.

I've googled the problem, and I don't seem to be the only one, and nowhere is a solution to be found. Is this a bug or what?

Set the screensaver to black, power usage should go down when it kicks in.

I had the same problem when I first got my Mini. I did days of digging and found a hidden command in SMCFanControl to limit the max fan speed. See here:

Be careful you don't cook your CPU. Try to keep things under 60C.
