I recently finished putting xbmc on my old xbox. I can access my music library on my laptop through up uPNP as is. However, the only way I can find to "play all" is to select the folder and hit play. It searches every single sub directory then...

I am assuming the problem is in my library organization... It was set up by iTunes long ago and is all in sub directories. If I organize my music folder different will the searching run smoother?

Also... Any way to use a shuffle option? I couldn't find it on xbmc for windows either.

*EDIT: Upon looking up after this post, I found the shuffle option. Doh. Still interested to know if changing the organization will help.*

Using Play on a folder recursively traverses the filesystem, adding everything to a play list. If you scan your music into the library, you can use Party Mode which is what I think you're really looking for.
