Im sure this never used to be, but now, for some reason, my projector (Panasonic AE3000) is showing its receiving a 1080/60i res.. Im sure it has been at 1080/60p...

I can remember which version of XBMC live I have installed...

I have just decided to go down the Ubuntu 9.10 + XBMC route, installed the nvidia 185 drivers, and only get the option of 1920x1080 @ 60i...

Just wondere dif there were any other asrock owners who had this issue, and can I get 1080p to work....Huh
lol.. not one of the 100+ views had an asrock..Huh Can anyone confirm 1080p works ok for them, Im pulling my hair out!!!!

Thanks...
1080p works on nvidia ion and works on an asrock nvidia ion board to.

Try with latest Nvidia drivers 195.36.15
Works fine, I use 1080p/24
run the script in this thread to get a proper xorg.conf, could be the problem.

Tried that, looks awful, the XBMC gui flickers when you navigate through it.. Tried setting xbmc to 1920x1080 50hz and get 1080/50p, putting it to 60hz gets me 60i... weired!

Tried this, but have installed 10.04, and got some errors... Getting same results as 9.10, Nvidia X Server only giving me options for max 1920x1080 and 60 (interlace).

Went back to XBMC (using xbmcfreak v13), and still get 1080/60i... Think Ill push W7 direct to the projector just to make sure its not a fault with that and see if I can get full 1080p signal...
No don't set the resolution to 1080p 24Hz it will be bad indeed, just 1080p 60Hz

Go -> System - Video -playback - adjust display refresh rate to match video and sync playback to display. If you play a video now it will play in 1080p 24Hz If you stop the movie xbmc wil be back @ 60Hz and the GUI wil be fine.

Thats all I want!!! but for some reason, my screen is detecting a 1080/60i signal and not the full 1080p...
It's not always smooth. Some times it starts jerking for alittle while - annoying. Some movies are unplayable (Transformers 2 IMAX edition) with constant frame skipping.
So it's not the perfect platform it seems. I have only tried XBMC Live and not Windows version yet. Not sure if less frames will be skipped on DX than VDPAU...

Code:
Option  "FlatPanelProperties" "Scaling = Native"

Put this in xorg.conf.
That line is already in it...

Thanks anyway.. Ill continue to bang my head against the brick wall, for now!!!
i use the script linked before, no problem to have 1080p with the asrock.
This is my xorg.conf for my Asrock 330 and 1080p tv I did have to do some bits to find exact modeline timings *found in the forums*

Thanks.. will try that code later...

The only setting that does work, is 1920x1080 @ 50hz, gives me 1080/50p, so it definately seems to be the drivers not giving a true 60hz non interlace output.. so maybe your conf could do the trick...

WIll let you know how I get on..
Nope...

Done a straight swap for the code you gave, and wouldnt boot properly, so I restored, and replaced device, screen and monitor sections.. and still the same.. projector still only detecting 1080/60i...

Ive pushed my desktop through the pj, and confirm it will receive 1080/60p, so its definatley an xbmcism of some sort.. need to hack apart the conf file and see how it works...

Thanks anyway...!!!
