Full Version: PuTTY working but not WinSCP ?

A problem nagging me recently is that I can connect from my PC to my ATV with PuTTY but not WinSCP.

My specs on the ATV side:
Appletv os 3.0.2
Launcher 3.2.3
Xbmc pre-10.5 r28256 (march 1, 2010)
Os Darwin 8.8.2

On the PC side:
Winscp 4.2.6
Putty 0.60
Win7

So PuTTY works fine but the WinSCP log says
Code:
. 2010-04-27 21:04:12.597 Looking up host "appletv.local"
. 2010-04-27 21:04:14.858 Connecting to 192.168.0.11 port 22
. 2010-04-27 21:04:15.863 Failed to connect to 192.168.0.11: Network error: Connection refused

Is it because I'm using the svn version (which I'm using because I do have a Crystal HD card and make use of it)? The fact that PuTTY works tells me there's nothing wrong with the network...

Any hint appreciated.
I would double check that "appletv.local" resolves to 192.168.0.11... try the IP directly.
Thanks Philmatic.

Resolution of the IP address was fine... I ended up cleanly uninstalling and reinstalling WinSCP (upgrading to 4.2.7 in the process) and that fixed it.

Not sure how it got broken in the first place but oh well.
