having a bit of confusing trouble with rss feeds.

is there a way to integrate rss feeds with video links into xbmc? i've toyed around with navi-x, but it's lists never seem to stay current.

is there a way to simply integrate these rss feeds themselves?

here's an example.

each link in the rss feed directs you to a webpage with the actual video embedded inside. is it possible to access this somehow through xbmc? is this an impossible task?
Yup, this is covered in the wiki. You just add source and put in the feed's url.

You may have to replace the http:// with rss://, but I'm not sure. Refer to the wiki, or if it isn't clear just take the time to try it both ways, then update the wiki so other people will know.
i've attempted that, but it's never seemed to work. i've read the wiki page, but am still having problems. it doesn't help that xbmc doesn't seem to play nice with copy/paste in windows.

i just put in the feed as per normal as a new source?

is it an issue with the fact that the rss feed doesn't link to the videos themselves? but rather a web page with the video embedded in it?
You don't have to use rss://. Xbmc will convert it internally. I'm guessing the problem is that the link in the feed isn't directly to the video stream.
Right. I didn't actually bother to check out his link, but you're right... the method I described needs the RSS feed to be done "correctly" with a link to the actual media, not a flash player.

That said, all those videos look like they're from blip.tv, which iirc there is a plugin for. No idea if it is update or not.
ok, so the only way to do this would be to do it through blip tv? or perhaps the web browser plugin?
