Complete linux and XBMC novice here, slowly learning the ropes - but I could do with a hand!
Would somebody please be kind enough to tell me how to install, step by step, a specific SVN revision? Namely r28276 (although if there's a previous version that's known to be more stable or whatever, that'll do).
Something like what the guy in this thread was asking I think, but I think he'd already added the repo.
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04LTE x86_64, fresh install (no added PPAs/sources, etc).
Just a great big list of terminal commands for me to copy & paste to get it from complete Vanilla Ubuntu to XBMC SVN r28276 (or whatever) installed is what I'm after.

P.S. I know what an SVN/CVS repo is! I've been administrating Windows servers and desktops for 12 years now, I just have no clue where to start ANYTHING on or to do with UNIX!
