I am wondering what is the best way to add new movies to my library.

I have a windows home server where all my movies are stores. Each movie is in its own folder and i am organising my media with ember media manager.

So when I have a new movie I do the following steps:
1. Copy movie to Movies/ folder on windows home server
2. Start ember media manager
3. Click on reload database
4. Click on Scrape new media
5. Click on bulk renamer and rename folder of movie
6. Start xbmc
7. Go to videos and click "title"-> scan for new content on the folder for new movie

I am not sure if this is the best way to add new media. Is there a faster way? (e.g. updating library directly from ember)
All those steps are fine...

What you mean by step #7? You can just scan the source like so:
D:/Movies

The way that sentence was phrased it seems like you are scanning each folder individually like so:
D:/Movies/Die Hard
then
D:/Movies/Avatar
Yes I just scan each folder because I just add a single movie and want to avoid long loading times which is the case when i scan my whole library.
