As per title, tried using the last official nightly build but I can't show the selected number of episodes for a show or season.

If I read the
trac correctly looks like that is a new property...added 29676 and above.
Thanks for clearing that up; I did try to get a new build to test it with but downloads aren't working from
http://sshcs.com/xbmc/.
29717 on W7 has been pretty solid for me...I check his site here and there, seems like he's been having some build problems recently atleast windows side.
Off topic but has the 'all views visible loading' issue been fixed?
