I have latest build of xbmc have around 300 movies of mixed content blu-ray and dvd as well as some tv episodes equal to about 400 gigs or so. If i leave my htpc on for more than 6 hours it seems like the next video file i play is jumpy and have to reset the computer enable to fix it.

PC specs:

AMD x2 6400 3.2 dz dual core
4 gigs of PC6400 800mhz ddr2
1 TB Western Digital 7200 rpm 8mb cache
Asus m3n78-em hdmi with geforce 8300 on board gfx
Windows XP SP3 fully updated up till april

If you have any suggestions on why it is doing this please help its getting anoying. It is on a fresh install recent format to see if it fixed the problem.
It use to not do this when i first built the pc.

You have anything else running on the machine, torrent client, something else? Sounds like something somewhere has a memory leak at a guess.

My advice for what it's worth is upgrade to windows 7, it's far more stable than windows xp

sorry for long reply but it was working good till i put windows 7 on it for the first time and i removed it when problem started and went back to XP but problem remains. Nothing is running except windows and XBMC
