Right guys a did order a ion 330 ht but a have now canceled it because a have been look at the acer Aspire Revo R3610 plus a can get Aspire Revo R3610 for £190 ion 330 ht £290

well, you don't get a remote nor opticial drive with the rev.
I really like the asrock as htpc. The only small downside is no usb on front.
However, I think the price diff is smaller where I am from.
BTW, unless you are 100% sure you know how to install what you need from usb without messing it up an optical drive comes in handy. (searh forum and find many many people struggling)
I'm going for the Revo R3610 because of the low noise it makes. And I don't need all the extra's because I'm going to run XBMC from a SDHC card.

Yes, some people says it is. I have not had the oppertunity to compare. A correctly setup asrock ion 330 (not HT) is possible to hear from 2-3m if there is no other sound in the room. I am not sure if that classifies as a problem or not but some people are replacing the fan. Would make sense if Asrock put a better fan in the ht. Anyone knows?

you think this will play iso format with hardware acceleration /gpu ?

all me movies are in iso format on usb hard drive

I know this device can stream a 70Mbit MKV from a NAS so I think *.ISO won't be a problem at all.
If you wan't to know 100% ask someone with XBMC on R3610 to test it for you.

But you should just try to stick with the Official MCR or the X-box IR receiver. At least then you know everything will work.

Great little box, very small, very quite, comes with a nice small keyboard. Aeon Skin with 720p fanart and ~80k+ posters runs nice - but make sure to enable .dds fanart (you can find tutorials on how to do that) once enabled, its BLAZING fast(loads fanart faster then posters).
