Hello guys, completely new to the whole XBMC thing, previously I was looking for a suitable media server to stream to my PS3, and heard about this a while ago, but nothing really clicked, but then when I saw a Lifehacker article, I knew it was perfect for me.

Anyway, on to the question, a simple one really - I've only got a 60gb main HDD, but I've just plugged an additional 120gb HDD into my XBMC Live, however, when looking at SFTP, I cannot find it and thus can't transfer files to it. Is this even possible with XBMC?

if it is an internal drive you need to mount an format it. Check the ubuntu forum.

Ah, cool so there's no special conditions/requirements for XBMC?

The disk are managed like in standard ubuntu. Except of course you have to do it from command line.
