When playing files with a wmv extension a lot of the times when I hit forward twice on the remote to forward it jumps to the end of the file. The only way to correct this (I've found) is to use a program like Boilsoft's Video Splitter and crop the file from beginning to end (generating a new file). This fixes the issue but it's a lot of steps and a pain in the ass when I download a bunch of these files. Has anyone experienced this and if so how did you correct it? Is there a setting or something that can fix this?

yes many have experienced it, the problem is known for 2 more than years now. the devs are apparently not interested in fixing it or have better stuff to do, so if you want those files to play correctly i fear that the only option you have is using a different player (sadly).
