Dear all,
Is there a way to apply custom video settings to same sort of videos automatically, rather than going to "video settings" every time? For example, I use a different settings for the TV shows which are in 4:3 format and I want to apply that settings to all of my video automatically, if they are in 4:3 format, when they are scanned into library. Can this be done? Cheers!!
See the setting for what to do with 4:3 videos in Settings->Video->Player.
Hi jmarshall,
Thanks for the hint. I guess you meant "Playback" (rather "Player") but is there any settings in "Settings->Video->Playback" for 4:3 video at all? I just don't seem to see any. Am I looking in the right place? Cheers!!
As I fail to see anything in the Settings > Video > Playback, is there anything in the advancesettings.xml for that? Cheers!!!
It may have been added after the version you have perhaps.

I got xbmc-1:9.11-lucid2 installed; what version are you talking about?
You could look on trac and see when it was added.
Okay, thanks. I'll have a look. cheers!!
