Full Version: Running OS and XBMC audio thru HDMI

Is there anyway to do this?

I currently have a multi-monitor setup under Ubuntu 10.04 with XBMC on my TV (via HDMI w/ Digital Audio Output) and the OS on my monitor (via DVI). When XBMC is running, it completely takes over the digital audio output device leaving it unavailable to other applications. On login, KDE will even say that the digital audio device has been disconnected and ask if I want to remove it.

I'd like to be able to run (for example) YouTube videos from the web browser on my monitor and have the audio go through the digital output.
