Hi

On one side of a wall I have a television running 1080p resolution with a xbmc htpc attached.

I would like to drill a hole in the wall and hookup a 22" screen with a max resolution of 1680x1050 in the room on the other side of the wall.

Know to do this I need a script ( i think) that will change monitor and set resolution in xbmc or in ubuntu?

Don't really know if this should be done in python or bash or if theres a 3rd option.

Anybody know how to do this?

thanks in advance.
might be easier to just use an HDMI splitter
Well besides splitting it should be able to downscale it aswell. If you can buy such a think it's quite expensive i would think and then i might aswell buy a fullhd 24" screen instead.

But can't afford either so i really hope i can be done with some script.
