Hm, could you check if you can open the menu when paused in Confluence? Because I don't see anything in the code that could pose this restriction.
I never play DVD's so I actually never checked if this is possible at all.
Quote:Hmmm...I'm not totally sure I fully understand your reply. If I can set things up to go directly into movies or TV shows, without an intermediate "browse" step, with submenus disabled...but I can also get to my addons by choosing "Videos -> Addons" if submenus are enabled....are you saying there's no way to, for instance, set things up so that the Videos -> Addons menu is available in the main menu? Don't other skins allow that? Not accusing, just asking--I genuinely don't remember. I thought I've seen that kind of thing elsewhere, but I could definitely be wrong.
Well, adding an entry in the main menu that leads directly to video add-ons itself is no problem, it's just that there's other things to take into account.
For instance, with all main menu entries enabled, everything fits right on screen. Adding one more entry and the menu would goes off-screen.
This could be solved by making the homemenu to be a fixed list (so instead of the "cursor" moving, the list itself would scroll while the "cursor" stays in the same spot), but that's something I really don't like.
Something I could think about is creating a custom window which would act as a portal to the various, content-based, add-ons and have this accessed through the main menu entry when submenus are disabled. Does that make sense?
Quote:Interestingly, "Addons" IS available in the main menu if that option is enabled in reFocus's settings, but frustratingly it takes you to the addons Settings page rather than "all addons"
Yeah, I think that's something I will change as addon settings is also reachable by using the settings menu.
//EDIT: hold on, I changed that already
//EDIT2: Something else that I could do is to have "videos" open the videos root folder, where you could access video-addons (right now it leads right into videos->files)

In a strange way, these little minor complaints are a huge compliment...I find reFocus to be so superior to all other skins that I feel compelled to try to make it "perfect" (even though it can never be so). I'd never even bother raising these points if I were using other skins!
Thanks, if only perfection would be achievable

She hates the required extra clicks to browse our music directories. I don't really like it either, but there are lots of advantages to compensate
Kind of the same issue as above, the music menu is already at full capacity. I guess it would help if I could somehow have the user choose from, say 20, items but impose a limit of 10 to choose, so you have to make choices. Of course I could still leave it to the user to make those choices by not imposing the, but it's the "this or that entry goes off screen" questions that I want to avoid. Because otherwise it's a bug
But I'll think about some way to make this more flexible.
