The video files I have are a combination of TV, Movies and Other.

Other includes things like documentatries, snowboard movies etc.

The problem I have is that all the other videos dont work in the library view but tv movies etc works very well.

Is it possible to have certian folders in library mode and other files in non library mode?

absolutely, it's just a matter how you switch between the two.
One (cumbersome) is to switch constantly between library and files mode via GUI.
Another alternative is to map remote or keyboard buttons to the function.
