Im trying to play a DVD, but without any success. I think its encrypted?

When I tried to play the DVD with Totem I got this message:

So I installed the packages libdvdcss and libdvdread, after that I got this error messages:

It looks like its encrypted or something?

rar://smb<path/name>.iso

unrar it.

It's just a ISO-file. No RAR-archive.

Then why is xbmc using the rar:: virtual file system to access it ?

Too bad you keep cutting the log so I can't see libdvdnav doing it's work. There should be some css action going on if this is really a DVD format iso. XBMC would need to open the iso and walk the menu system. I don't see DVDPlayer trying to play .vob files.

Im not cutting anything?

Anyone? I havent been able to watch my movie yet.

Are you able to play it using the DVD drive (if you have one) in XBMC or totem? Make sure that you have libdvdcss2 installed.

Also, you may be able to look up the title online and see what kind of encryption it uses. It might be easier to use MakeMKV to bypass it than to try to find a library that will play it.

DRM sucks.
