hi All,
I have setup my htpc with ubuntu and XBMC latest version,
When I watch movies (720P,1080P) in xbmc I dont see any image just colorfull images running, with VLC I can see the movie Although the picture quality is not the same as I run xbmc on windows...
Do ATI HD4670 need some modifications with Ubuntu?
P.S, this is happen to me also with OSX...
I dont want to go back windows...

Set render method to basic shaders(arb).

i have set this on my setup but the problem i have is artefacts i have same setup near enuff its a acer aspire laptop with ati GPU and ubuntu 10.04

it all works including the remote from my android phone the problem like i say is a big black bar (lightning shaped) that runs across screen every 30 seconds or so


please help as this is the only problem i have so far and i really dont want to install windows on laptop to get round problem
