Just a note to see if I am doing something wrong. Using the last dozen or so SVN's i noticed that if I pause a video and leave it long enough for the screen to dim, when i press play to continue the video it stays dimmed until i press another key (usually use the up arrow)

Shouldn't the screen un-dim when the video starts playing again?
It should - how are you pressing "Play" to continue it? On the remote? The first play press should deactivate the screensaver.
Yes via the remote. Which is a Media Center remote.
Pressing either play (or pause) Has the same result.
I'm having the exact same problem.
YAY I'm usually alone in my issues (Like video only stutters after sleep mode) grr Tongue
Yes I have noticed it as well. I have been using the XBMC for years and this has just started to occur. I don't believe my habits have changed, it appears that the program has changed.
Please confirm that all of you actually have this issue:

Ah, I'd forgotten that thread.

I have a major league hangover at the moment, but when I've recovered enough to see the keyboard I'll have a look at this.

Later: see http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/9643

Programming with a hangover is not nearly as much fun as programming when drunk.
Fixed in build 31937

If you download the nightly build for 18th July or later the problem shoud be fixed. Please let me know whether this works for you.
