I never found one either, although I was still able to get it working without. I think I only had one VNC as well I believe.

Did you leave 'Defaults' as audio output device?
senz Wrote:Hello,
On my master i'm running win7 x64 and I did run powershell for booth x86 and x64.
To my problem:
I do find my master from my client, it's listed as "Av-Source-Master". It can connect to my master and whenever I change a song on my master the songs title and name does appear in my Client.
But the strange thing is that I get no sound on my client?
Anyone having the same issue?
my master is running VLC 1.1.4 and client running vlc 1.1.5.

Yes, I left it as 'Defaults'. I should also say that my other settings are Optical/Coax and 5.1 as I'm using digital audio. Having it as this instead of Analog didn't seem to affect playback on either system though. My client computer was also just set with 'Defaults' but as Analog instead.

Thanks, I'll try some more when I'm back from holidays. I'm actually trying to connect from another machine using VLC rather than a 2nd XBMC.

ME TO! Will it be soon?
Does this only send audio to other xbmc clients?
or can I send audio to my airport express upstairs with this so that I can listen on my stereo?
Thx
Greetings,
I am running Dharma on Ubuntu 10.10 and VLC v1.1.4.
The Add-on install went fine, but I am unable to stream, perhaps because my input is a UDP muticast stream?
My set up is like this:
Video server ---UDP multicast (MPEG2-TS)---> xbmc master ---rtp stream---> xbmc slave
When I try to start up the stream on the master from an .strm file containing:
udp://239.255.12.13:5004
I see multiple instances of VLC started from 'ps' but it never plays. The stream is playable when the Add-on is not installed.
Is this meant to work? Or can one only play from local files?
I am getting "script failed" error after initial configuration on Lucid as well

BUMP! Can anyone tell me if it should be possible to stream a stream?
I am trying to set up Multiroom on my Dharma installation
XBMC is running on windows 7 32bit
my audio is ouput using the spdif optical link on my motherboard to a yahama receiver and works perfectly, the configuration is set to optical/coax and the speakers are set to 5.1
my video is output via an nvidia gs210 hdmi connection and again works perfectly
When I enable multiroom audio, if I enable loopback I hear white noise on my receiver as well as the music I am currently playing
when I start a client running on another PC I see the music tracks changing but again all I hear is white noise
I have not changed the defaults for audio output in the plugin.
Presumably it has something to do with the digital audio, but does anyone know how to get this working
[edit]
I have now tried changing audio output setting to MR-Audioplayer but it stops at every track in a playlist and says external player active waiting for it to finish and no sound is heard at all
thanks in adavnce

Ok I want to see if this addon does what I am wanting it. I have xbmc running on a acer revo and working perfectly. I am thinking of buying 2-3 apple tv's to stream my movies/tv shows from my revo to the apple tv's. Will this syncronize the library between all the xbmc boxes? Also will it allow for one box to see a movie and another one to see a show etc.. Thanks
it is possible to "stream media to my friends XBMC over the internet"'
Here is a project (or just concept):
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=82573
On this prtsc we can see also VLC:
Maybe we can merge this "stream options" with
AWX Web Interface look pretty nice:
I believe that each of you would like to access all the content ( Movies, TV Shows, Pictures or Music ) at home and play it (stream to your PC/laptop) remotely when away on travel or you are with friends.
cheers
Installed this, Audio worked great. Tried to do video, wouldn't work. Turned off the stream, and the master still wouldn't play video. Uninstalled completely removed, video would pop up in VLC and play that way, completely choppy and digital. No sound. Uninstalled VLC. Reinstalled VLC now I have video in XBMC but no audio. I have audio when going through the menu, but no audio whatsoever not even with music now. Uninstalled XBMC completely, reinstalled still having same issue. Tried Movies and music in Mplayer, works fine. Everything was fine until I installed this Addon...
