can someone aid me with step-by-step guide to set up srm7500 lirc with xbmc

when i use

all remote keypresses ale viewed flawlessly by irw command
i just dont know what to do next to get those work for xbmc

Sorry to dig up an ancient thread, but thought I'll try getting an answer here before creating a new one..

Do you have any explanation on how you did it?

I'm struggling getting past the setup and getting the remote to recognize the RF usb dongle.
Using a Raspberry Pi2 with osmc, which should have it's own srm7500 lirc file, but alas, no success syncing the two.

Doing a last ditch bump of this thread.
Still have no clue how to sync the remote with the rf dongle on osmc, openelec or kodibuntu.
If anyone out there have any idea, experience or tips it would be very appreciated.
