I searched for this problem and found another post without any replies. Hopefully posting another is appropriate. I have been trying to install xbmc 9.11 live onto my Acer Aspire R1600(latest bios) and I am getting an error message during the cd-rom detection process. "No common CD-ROM drive was detected". I have installed older versions of xbmc live without any problems(text based installer). I read on another forum that it is caused by a bug in the latest installer. I also tried the boxee live cd with the same results. Using a flash drive instead of a cd also renders the same results. Any help would be very much appreciated.
