I've tried loads of different ways to try to load xbmc on windows startup but I keep getting an error "capplication:create0failed" I've searched the forum and read something about using "gnome" here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=34463 , Do I really need this gnome just to get xbmc to auto run on windows xp startup ? Every other program I've wanted to autostart on win startup I've just dropped into the windows startup folder
I'm using win xp 32bit latest svn dx build and aeon65.

Forgot to say I've also tried silentlaunch and making a bat file but still get the error

Try modifying the shortcut to add "-d 10" so the target is something like:

"C:\Program Files\XBMC\XBMC.exe" -d 10

The "-d 10" tells XBMC to pause for 10 seconds before creating it's window. This gives a chance for Windows to finish starting before XBMC starts. You can try increasing or decreasing the delay.
