"V11 plugin.video.youtube-3.4.1b" doesn't work for me... "Dependencies not... blabla..". Since yesterday I can't even watch any clip and I used still used V3.3.0. I tried to update it to 3.4.1b but... can't install it.. Update to "Frodo" is also no option due to another problem..
Any Ideas, any solutions?

I'm using:
Code:
Starting XBMC (12.0 Git:fb595f2), Platform: Linux (Ubuntu 12.10, 3.5.0-23-generic i686). Built on Jan 28 2013

and the plugin version is 4.4.1.

Have you stumbled upon such error?

Where is the latest source code, project page and beta versions btw? This http://code.google.com/p/youtubexbmc/source/checkout leads to something updated in 2011...
Duuude, I almost had a heart attack when I installed my new multimedia machine and went to try out a youtube video and it crashed heh...... tnks for providing a solution.

They haven't been active on this forum for quite some time. Is this add-on still being developed ?

+1 This add-on is critical for obvious reasons. Anyone have contact with the authors?
The file linked at http://forum.stmlabs.com/showthread.php?...1#pid56611 cured the problem for me. It calls itself v4.4.1b.

AFAIK, they have decided to stop regularly checking this thread as it's become a bit too big, and have suggested we submit issues via: http://code.google.com/p/youtubexbmc/issues/list
Does anybody know when the xbmc repo will be updated ?
Having some problems with the addon. Brand new install of Frodo. Brand new update of the addon.

Using android YouTube app, I select "play on XBMC" but it fails every time

"Failed to locate video URL".

Any clues? I dont't really use the addon to browse YouTube on XBMC, since I use the latest NOX and find no ideal view layout for it. (small TV at the moment). But I am keen to get back to beaming YouTubes from my phone to the telly!

Pastebin log

PS - what's the skinny on YouTube logins these days (been a while) - are we still required to give away our rather sensitive YouTube password? thx

Look at previous posts for fix,
Thanks. Playing fine now. The good stuff Smile

Still a question mark on the password front, 100% have to use google password? no alternative?
(2013-02-14, 16:38)Mossy Wrote: [ -> ]The first link is just YouTubePlayer.py, if you want to download it and copy it into your plugin.video.youtube folder.

The other two links are if you want to install the full plugin with the fix - go to System | Addons | Install from zip and select the downloaded zip file.

Thank you!

Why isn't the plugin itself updated with these fixes? I thought the plugin update feature in fro do was meant to be the end of this sort of thing.
Only if the add-on is fixed in the repository.
A bug report should be posted to the google code site and include the patch as well as as much detail as possible. I posted a bug report about whitespace in subscription names with a patch and the authors responded very quickly and it was merged into the next release.

The code is maintained here rather than the google code site I think.
