Could you give me a debug log?

Or at the very least tell me that you are running windows Smile

Great addon!

A few requests.
-I was wondering if it'd be possible to make it easier to find previous/next part of a video that's been split? Say you see a video called "Starcraft2 Red vs Green part 2/2". Could it be possible to have a search link in the Context menu that popups the editable search box that defaults to "SC2 Red vs Green part 2/2". Then you could remove 2/2 to find all parts.
-Could you make the video information scrape more info, like date and views?
-Like it/dislike in the context menu would be nice.

edit: Ah, sorry. Missed you had beta out. I guess my first request is "Added edit search feature, pops up with search in question and allows you to change it"?

Actually we have a new "find similar" or "more videos from this user" which might also be usefull, as far as i remember, find similar just does a search for the title which you can then find under searches, then you could use the edit search to remove the 2/2 part, but i wonder if thats even necessary.. Huh

I'm not sure if I'm fond of the idea of adding "like" and "dislike" to the plugin, it has no visible effect on the users interface, and only serves to clutter up the context menu items (much like the pr video quality selection), but i guess we could make an advanced setting enabling the option.. for the few users interested Huh

Regarding scraping, if I'm not mistaken we already fetch this information and pass them to xbmc for use in sorting, where exactly would you like to see them?

Doesn't seem to work with that good with "part x/y" videos. Either I only get back the exact search or like in this case (ABC p1/2) I get
-exact search
-similiar
But NOT ”ABC p2/2”.

Edit search? 1.8.1 has "Refine to user", though all that does is bring up an empty search box. In 1.9.1 "Refine to user" is gone and all I get is the default context menu (http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/4682/...t001mp.png).

"More videos from this user" brings up the folder toggle settings for some reason. When I close the window there's a progress window stuck at ~90% and some seconds later on the folder toggle settings show up again. On and on in an infinite loop.
These messages will popup while this is going on:
LOGIN FAILED IOERROR
subscription_upload LOGIN FAILED
debug log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/507187/

A lot of folders are missing (subscriptions, favourites) even though they are enabled. I guess everything that requires login are missing? Though the only time I get LOGIN FAILED is with "More videos from this user". This is all I get in 1.9.1: http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/4356/...t002sf.png

In the ”Video information” window: http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/4169/...t003pd.png

Looks like the same problem I get with 1.9.1 -I'm guessing it should show the subs/faves when it logs in, but it sounds like it's not logging in.

Do you get IOERROR when you click on 'Login..'?

Sneeka Wrote:Do you get IOERROR when you click on 'Login..'?

Ah, yeah I do. When I press login a progress window shows up and on top that the addon's General settings window. I press ESC to close the settings window, the progress window is still there and about ~40 seconds later I get the IOERROR message and the progress window closes.

Ok, i have a an update on the login issue.

I'm not sure why, but it won't work with socket timeout in windows.

I have just uploaded 1.9.2 which has the socket timeout disabled.

Did anyone get the IOERROR on a non windows system?
Woohoo! That did the trick Cool

Just had a quick play, but everything seems to be working as it should - and I've now no problems with age restricted vids.

Many thanks for all the work Nod

Hinz

Yeah, it works now. But why does it take ~40 seconds to login? It's the same with 1.8.1. I press Login, and a static Loading Directory is shown for ~40 seconds.
Changing settings and then clicking OK also has this 30-40 second delay, I guess because it seems to logout and login when changing settings.

i found myself using this plugin quite often! i love it and got some ideas to suggest.
as i live abroad i use youtube to watch some shows that are only available in my home country to be able to keep up with gossip talk Big Grin when phoning home. luckily there quite a lot of ppl posting the shows in 15mins clips on youtube for those of us who live abroad. that way i loved the "queue video" option.

just a few ideas/suggestions Smile:
1. would it be possible to kind "pin" or "lock" the list to "big list"-view while browsing through the video-clip list? as it is now, its gets reset when switching to the next page.
2. an ascending/descending sorting option for the list would not hurt! Smile
3. the ability to keep the video-queue after an reboot
4. to "lock" the video-frame options to the last selected one. like if you select "zoom" to zoom up an 4:3 picture so that it fits an 16:9 screen. atm it gets reset when the next item in the queue gets played.
Hello,

I am having some problems with this plugin. When I try to play a video, it acts like it is going to open, then nothing plays and the watch flag is immediately applied to the icon of the video I just tried to watch. Sometimes a box will open that says something along the lines of "Opening stream", but whether that box shows or not nothing plays.

I am having this issue on 2 computers. Both running XBMC Dharma Beta 2. One is on XP the other is on Windows 7. I tried installing the 1.9.2 beta on the computer running XP and I am still having the same problem.

Here are the logs from 1.8.1 on the XP machine: http://pastebin.com/3UpWmXCh

Here are the logs from 1.9.2 on the XP machine: http://pastebin.com/Da5JZ62X

I've also tried searching and read this thread back 10 pages, so forgive me if I missed the solution somewhere. I found one other thread with a similar problem, but that person is running xbmc on an xbox. Anyways, thanks for any help.
MongarEric:

You are on windows yet it looks like you have some ExternalPlayer being invoked for vlc on unix:

ExternalPlayer Filename: /usr/bin/vlc

Looks good to me!
Celox Wrote:1. would it be possible to kind "pin" or "lock" the list to "big list"-view while browsing through the video-clip list? as it is now, its gets reset when switching to the next page.

Hi Celox, This is essentially an issue with xbmc which we have created a trac ticket on: http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/9952. To make it short, there is no "real" way for plugin developers to implement this accros skins, and the solution is still being thought up by devs. What we have implemented right now is a "hack" to make the skin work better when using the confluence skin.

Celox Wrote:2. an ascending/descending sorting option for the list would not hurt! Smile
The latest beta should already include a number of sorting options including ascending / descending selection..

Celox Wrote:3. the ability to keep the video-queue after an reboot
This would be an internal xbmc issue, as we have no control over what happens when the plugin isn't running. you should create a trac ticket for it Smile

Celox Wrote:4. to "lock" the video-frame options to the last selected one. like if you select "zoom" to zoom up an 4:3 picture so that it fits an 16:9 screen. atm it gets reset when the next item in the queue gets played.
Again this would be a xbmc option, i believe it was already discussed, and as far as i remember theres an option under system -> video settings that allows you to select prefered view for 4:3 content Smile
hello,

i am using dharma beta2, win7, transparency skin. using version 1.9.2 i keep getting "login failed http error 401: unauthorized".

tried to make a debug log but couldnt find where it is saved?

many thanks for the work!
Bobdoc Wrote:tried to make a debug log but couldnt find where it is saved?
Start -> Run

Type: %appdata%

...which should open your application data folder, the log gets saved under the XBMC folder in there (unless you're running xbmc in portable mode).
