I've had XBMC v9.11 installed on my AppleTV for a few months (6/3/10) - but lately (within the last week) it has started to freeze up while watching pretty much any type of video. Some were higher data rate 720p movies (yes, the ATV was dropping frames, but until I can get a Crystal HD card installed we have to suffer through the frame drops) - others are not HD "encoded for AppleTV" movies, TV shows etc..as well as .avi's.
You can get through most of a movie or a few minutes of some other show - completely sporadic and then the screen freezes and XBMC and the ATV do not respond to any remote control clicks. I've had my kids sit down and watch some TV Show marathons using the ATV OS and no problems - so appears to be an XBMC related "opportunity".
Doesn't make sense to since nothing new has been installed or configured on the ATV or XBMC.
Here's my last xbmc.log: http://pastebin.com/Na0E172w
and here's the xbmc.old.log: http://pastebin.com/sNFAc7iv
I looked at the console and crashreporter logs but they are dated several weeks ago. Do I need to supply anything else?
I'm thinking of reinstalling XBMC - but not sure if I just run it again from Launcher or if there are other steps. Or should I do a Factory Restore on the ATV, do the ATV OS upgrades to get back to 3.0.2 and then redo the patchstick install and XBMC (this sounds rather excessive).
I'm planning to order a Broadcom Crystal HD card soon so will want to install a new build of XBMC - so guess I'll need to learn how to do that...
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance...this has really killed the WAF this past week!
