Hello everyone,

Currently I'm living in a student house, where they had a media center set-up as follows:

But our Router was very old and the WiFi network constantly stopped working.
So we went to the store and bought a new router from D-Link. So now our network looks like this:

We bought a router with a USB port for our external Hard Drives, because we don't want to turn on a pc everytime we want to watch something on our TV.

But the problem now is, we don't now how we can get the Xbox to work with the new setup. What do we have to do to make the XBOX (or XBMC) recognize the external hard drives and use them?

I hope someone can help us, thanks in advance!
regards,

Ingmar
Set them up as shares on the router ( read your manual ), then browse and add them in xbmc
thanks for your reply!

The hard drive is set as shared, but with the XBOX we can't find it.
When we choose 'add a location', the hard drive isn't listed. So then you have to choose 'Browse', but then we don't now how to find the drive. How do we know which path the drive has? HOW do we browse to the hard drive?
