I'm currently running svn33300 and NV 256.52 on Ubuntu 9.10 and everything is perfect bar a very minor problem with FF/RW.
If I resume playback from either 2x/4x or 8x, the video is jerky for a couple of seconds until it sorts itself out, (output drops to 4fps). 16x and 32x seem fine (video resumes smoothly upon hitting play).
I've tried it with and without "sync playback to display", "adjust display refresh rate to match video" and a few different resolutions. Nothing made a difference.
