I originally posted this in the Linux section but then realised it is more of a settings/setup question and has nothing to do with the OS...
Hi there,
My apologies upfront but I'm new to xbmc and a bit of a noob.
I've installed xbmc live Dharma beta 2 on a EEE Box 1501 and it works perfectly except I cant get any file with DTS on it to play sound. All other video/audio files work perfectly.
my 1501 is connected to my TV via HDMI, and I use a digital optical cable to connect the TV to the dvd home theater speaker system (its a Panasonic SA-PT170, which is DTS capable).
I know this is just some setting I havent set correctly so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
In xbmc live my audio settings are as follows:
Audio Output : HDMI
Speaker Config: 5.1
Dolby Digital capable receiver: ON
DTS capable receiver: ON
Audio output device: hdmi
Passthrough output device: iec958
Again I apologise for my noobness as I am new to home theatre setups. XBMC live is a great product and kudos to the developers!
Cheers
