I set up the same box that runs XBMC to also run icecast2 so I could use it to display visualizations from a DJ in the other room. From there, I set up a playlist that points to http://localhost:8000/icecast.ogg.
This works for playing the audio but something odd happens when I do that. All the audio visualizations stop working. Normally, they work fine for Last.fm, MP3 sources, etc., but as soon as I try to play that icecast stream, they stop working for everything. Rebooting the box fixes it.
Any ideas?
