Well after a week or so of trying to get a xmbc/psp functionality, ive decided to bite the bullet and get an android device for xbmc control - now the question is which one?

Looking around, there seem to be these very cheap tablet pc's claiming to have android, for example the apad, epad - so my question is this.

Assuming android is actually running on the touch screen device, will the XBMC Android remote work?

If it is running Android 1.5 or later, the remote will work.
The feedbacks are very positive from the tablet users.

There are couple of factors you need to mind (to avoid the disappointment):
- the tablet has to have wifi connectivity
- the remote does not support all the possible resolutions, therefore sometimes the application is smaller than the screen
- controlling the volume works through the hardware volume buttons. People mentioned that some of the tablets do not have this kind of button. (might the application will have a soft control in the future)

This is just a short summary based on the entries in the forum from the past.

Hopefully users with tablet read this thread and will share their experience and give you advice for the right device.
thanks for the feedback, think the tablet will be a a cheaper route
