Hi,

I tried XBMC remote for Android, but kept getting this error, read in the forum that someone else also got this error. The suggestion was to remove all break lines from the IP, and I did, but still had the error.

Last night I figured out what the problem was, I use SwiftKey keyboard on my Nexus, and it inserts a white space after some (not all) punctuations in the IP.

Example: "192.168. 1.143"

Make sure you do not have any white spaces or break lines in your host address. =)

(I saw there is a ticket to validate the host address in code, so I did not bother to create a new one)

Actually I recently found out that it's pretty easy to add an input filter to text fields witch should be able to avoid this kind of problems. Do you mind creating a ticket at the issue tracker so this doesn't get lost? Cheers!
