I just updated to 3.02 and now when I exit XBMC I get to a black screen and can't do anything. I lose ssh connection and can't ping it anymore. Have to unplug to get going again.

Just left it there for a while and it rebooted into the Recovery Menu, allowing me to reboot back to Frontrow.

I've also managed to lose SoftwareMenu. I tried updating something and it crashed, wasn't there when I restarted. Connecting the two, I guess the root cause of the crashing isn't XBMC. Any ideas how to get SoftwareMenu to appear again. I need it to get USB support going.
There is a crashlog as well if the ATV or finder is crashing
I've one CrashReporter.log in frontrow/library/logs/crashreporter but it hasn't been updated since September 18th. There's another in mnt/scratch/library/logs/crashreporter which hasn't been updated since April 2nd. Anywhere else to look? First was 10mb so I deleted it and forced another crash, but nothing was written. Slightly different outcome, I could see Frontrow this time before it locked up.
So finder is not crashing then it is just XBMC
I see the entry Shutdown called by XBMC

I never use this option but maybe it does what it says?
Have you tried using exit XBMC instead?
Using Exit worked perfectly! I'm pretty sure I've been using Shutdown until now. Thanks!

Any suggestions for getting SoftwareMenu back? I'm sitting here transferring everything from my USB to a NAS so I'm not too pushed. In fact, it looks quite nice now. I only have Launcher, Podcasts, Internet and Settings.
You need to install softwaremenu manually the version from the stick is borked
