Hi Guys,

Got some problems to get the dxva2 running.
I have set all the 3D settings in ccc to 'use application settings' as stated in:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?p=575212

Futher I have checked that I got the latest Directx as stated in:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...=dxva2+ati

Now 1 movie plays (but that is a 576P movie) all others still produce a black screen.

Any ideas?

Debug Log here:
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/515170/
I set video to dxva2 in settings and then started a video. Black screen, kept it running for a few seconds and then looked up de Debug Log.

XBMC version:
- Dharma beta2 (r33778)

Laptop specs:
- W7 64 bit English
- 4 GB Ram
- ATI HD 5650 (1GB) (CCC 10.8)
I'm sure someone is going to tell you to check that you have the latest drivers from ATI - but I do, and i have the exact same issue. I suppose not all ATI hardware is fully supported yet for DXVA2?
As far as I know it is - please re-check that the latest DirectX has been installed - this has been known in the past to cause problems. I ma running an ATI 5450 as are others without any problems whatsoever.
I have DirectX 9.c 06/2010 downloaded and tried to install it. Laptop states that it already has the latest version.

I will give it a try tonight, probably I will download Beta3 and try that also..

Tnx for the responses but no luck sofar.

The web installer states tha I have a newer version alreaudy installed and the downloadable says it is corrupted.

So I assume I have the latest <--- should never state that Smile

If the Microsoft DX installer from the MS web site claims it's corrupted I'd say you have a problem with your Windows installation.

Ok, I downloaded the DX11 on another PC extracted it there (worked) will try it later on my XBMC Laptop..

I accidently posted this same question in another part of the forum (wrong place) there they stated to upgrade to ccc 10.9 + hotfix. My graphic card is not listed as compatible, but I will try that also.

Muddling through......... Smile
Installed DX11
Installed ccc 10.9 + hotfix

Still a black screen, will deinstall dharma 2 and install dharma 3, see if that makes a difference:confused2:

By any chance is the movie you are trying to play contain interlaced vc-1?

Either way it sounds more like a problem with the video encode in the particular movie.
Is there a program how i can check that?

I have 17 movies on my harddisk (16x HD), of which only one plays. This is a standart DVD movie (.vob). Other files are all MKV and WMV
google mediainfo

It will help you distinguish, which video type works and which doesn't.
I downloaded Media info, screenshots below:

It does not say much to me, anyone?

I do not think these are 'strange'files..
14 posts and no debug log - see here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=42708.

Until you provide one, the people who really know what's going on will ignore your problem. Media Info doesn't tell anyone why it doesn't play, but a debug log probably will.
