Hello all,

I've got XBMC Dharma Beta 3 up and running on my ASRock ION 330HT and so far it's working great expect for one thing - the remote.

Has anyone had any success? I noticed that Dharma Beta 3 moved to a newer kernel than the drivers provided by ASRock...

Thanks for all your help!

Kyle
I have also noticed this. Still no luck in getting my remote to work I´m afraid. =(
Hi All,

I found this post on xbmcfreak.nl:

According To @ momoski Should my above post work for making the remote control to work in XBMC on the new kernel on a ASRock.
The only part he did not do was: sudo rm / lib/modules/2.6.32-25-generic/updates/dkms/lirc_dev.ko
so on a fresh install please do the folowing at the CLI:
[quote]
wget http://kerkhove.net/ubuntu/lirc-nct677x-...04_all.deb
sudo apt-get install dkms
sudo apt-get install lirc-modules-source
sudo dpkg-i ./lirc-nct677x-src-dkms_1.0.4-ubuntu10.04_all.deb
sudo dkms add-m lirc-nct677x v-src-1.0.4-ubuntu10.04
sudo dkms build-m lirc-nct677x v-src-1.0.4-ubuntu10.04
sudo dkms install-m lirc-nct677x v-src-1.0.4-ubuntu10.04
sudo modinfo lirc_dev
sudo service lirc start
[/ Quote]

Thank you Oizopower! I will be attempting!

I'll give that one a shot, hope that works.
Everything else seems to be working perfectly, it's just the remote (using a mouse for now Sad)

Did you use this with a fresh install of Dharma Beta 3? I couldn't get this to work Sad

EDIT

After a fresh install, this worked like a charm. I must have messed up the initial installation somehow, oh well Wink
