Hello,

I am trying to get my ngene based card working with xbmc via the VNSI- or STREAMDEV-server plugin.

My setup:
  • gentoo system
  • vdr-1.7.15 / 1.7.16
  • VNSI-plugin / STREAMDEV-plugin
  • DVB-T card (asus mycinema p7131 hybrid)
  • DVB-S2 card (dual input) (ngene-based)

What works :
  • watching DVB-T based TV in XBMC via the VNSI plugin or STREAMDEV plugin
  • watching both DVB-T and DVB-S(2) (via the VDR softdevice plugin, ShmClient). As there is no hardware acceleration in this, it is sloppy so no option for watching tv.

What doesn't work:
  • watching DVB-S signal from within XBMC. It seams (from the messagelog output) I get the card tuned, the streaming starts... and then it stops...

I already tried to disable the DVB-T card (unload the kernel modules) to narrow down the problem, but that didn't help. Could it be the dual inputs are the cause of trouble?
As my tests with the VDR-SOFTDEVICE plugins show: the card is working, gets a proper signal but the data is not streamed towards XBMC.

Does anyone have the same experience, is there a patch for it? A possible solution?

Thanks,

Jan
