Running XBMC-live with ubuntu 10.04 xbmc 10.0-beta4 r35068.

VDPAU is ON
Adjust display refresh rate to match video ON
Sync playback to display ON
A/V sync method Audio clock

24p capable TV and 90% of my movies is running fine.

I have this problem on some of my movies where the playback is choppy. I thought this was the DTS sound problem which should have been fixed.

The sample in the link above is now running smoothly with the latest build so something else must be wrong with my movies.

I have made this sample so you can check it out and see if it also happens for you. The Error % and sync is spiking sometimes which gives a picture skip:

Please post a new log so we can determine if it's the same problem.

Here is a debug from the same movie of the linked sample. Played for like 4 minutes.

I've looked at one of the samples and the timestamps of the matroska packets for the combined dts frames are invalid. They jump around aswell.

So whatever generated this file is broken for dts it would seem.
WOW what a coincidence !!!!!

I sat down to watch the A-Team last night and noticed the "stuttering video", it is VERY slight and the mrs didnt even notice it...

After watching the whole film, i set to find out what was wrong and ended up doing a fresh install of xbmclive beta4 seeing that there was a DTS bug....

Anyhow i did a quick search for just "A/V sync method" to see what other people had this setting set to and came across this thread which just happens to be a post with a sample attached for the exact same source video that i was looking to fix!!

Spooky on haloween!!
