while building what i think is a nice xmas gift for a friend, i've run into the problem that xbmc locks up when entering my programs, my videos, or my music. here is all the info that i can gather:
it is a new xbox, version 1.6 with a xecuter 2.6 chip. the bios is flashed with flashbios 3 in the first bank, and evox m8_16 in the second (apparently it has to be in the 2nd bank to work).
the harddrive is a maxtor 120gig.
i compiled xbmc myself this morning (12/23) and loaded it on both mine (an older box, with an xecuter 2.3 and an xecuter bios) and the new box and on mine it works flawlessly.
settings, weather, clock updates, etc. work as expected. using xbmc via the web interfaces lets me navigate into the sections, but it still freezes as soon as i choose any share (shoutcast top500 parses the list and lets me navigate a bit, but as soon as i choose any stream it locks up).
